During mid-October 2005, announced they were establishing some operations in the Valley of the Sun (Phoenix and its sprawl). I received this as "beyond excellent" news because I have enjoyed Google greatly since Brin and Page created it at Stanford University. Google coming to the Valley of the Sun is "beyond excellent" news for all of Arizona.
